Is Suunto Core before with a variety of issues. This wristwatch has more bells and whistles and it 's cheaper. The band is a bit long, but a few seconds with scissors careful handling it. All in all great to watch.
Nice watch I wish the date was greater, the barometer compass works well and is great! I can 't seem to get the altimeter to work properly. The loop bandwidth is a little more comfortable, so I have to force or pull out otherwise its fine for what it is.
Thin. Lightweight. Accurate. Solar-powered and super Sturdy. An awesome Clock at a great price!
First, the clock: the Casio PAW1300-1V is at hand, both made, and is worthy of 5 stars. R RNOW important to point my review. Rin last six months I have bought three hours from amazon direct ( "Ships from and sold by Amazon "): DW6600C Casio PAW1300-1V and-1V, and the Timex Ironman. All three showed clear signs of returned items: prints, lost or tangled include crystal, watch not running through the box window, torn boxes, etc. rin case PAW1300-1V resin band was actually mud in the grooves, and something like dry cola . Clearly, there is wear this watch for a weekend on a camping trip, and then send it back to Amazon, which immediately sold it to me as a "New " watch. Ronce, ok it might be a mistake - but three times in a row? Now I believe this is their policy to try to sell the clock is used as if they were new, and I will never, ever, buy another watch from Amazon.
This really shows n 't need a review, to be honest. R rif Have you ever owned a Casio digital, you already know what I'll tell you. R rThis watch is solidly built, and the case is indeed very thin compared to other models Pathfinder. I do police work, and as such, I usually wear my watches luxury jobs. I was happy with my PAG40-3V, which is essentially the full screen version of the show. R rWhen we switched to long sleeves, I had a problem and purchased the Slim Pathfinder. R rthe size business is listed at 47mm, which seems important but I think it may be a bit exaggerated. This watch does not look great at all, and I have a 7 "wrist, which I am told is small for a male. R Rall functions work perfectly on my watch, and I solar energy during the PAG40 - 3V 's battery. Timekeeping Atomic is also a feature that I've come to love and I do not want to buy a digital clock that does not sync with the clock Atomic. r Ras I said, there's really not much I can add what has already been posted here, except to say that this is a beautiful show if c Is that what you are looking for. r ri love design, and despite my large collection, I often find myself wearing this watch outside of work.
no comments. I have not tested it much yet but love everything about this watch so far.
For a very long time I was looking for a sight Which is stable and has enough features. RThis watch ended my search. The Barometer and Altitude are pretty much required. Just the Compass does not always show the right direction. RI'd say its a great watch for the features, look at the prices! R rJust the draw backs I find them - its weight, I can feel the weight on my wrist. Because, in my old watch ... not used to feel that weight. Also, sometimes during the weak light battery saver mode turns on and the screen goes blank.
Received three days ago, and had with me for hiking the next day. Everything looks excellent, and the size is adequate. Rit are synchronized with the standard time of the first night. I spent two hours going through the guide and find it really complex! Rbut what you can complain? There are too many functions. All basic functions are easy to remember and accessible. Rthe compass is much faster than my Garmin 60CSx GPS, and much easier to use! Ra big clock and must-have for Hiker especially if Don 't have a GPS for hiking. Rthe only thing I would like to see is being able to show something else such as month-year instead of the seconds in the time control.
Watch is nice looking enough. I 've always considered a digital bit "cheap " looking. One is not too. Having quite thin wrist I m 'shaking it ' s not as big as many other watches I 've seen of this genre. I 've seen some that looked like a spare wheel! The temp gauge - as others mentioned - tells you the temp of your wrist but it 's no problem to get it off and strap it to your pack if you need an accurate reading. Just make sure you calibrate occasionally. The gesture works well enough. I have a hand-held GPS if I need extreme accuracy so this is more for a quick glance. My favorite feature is the barometer. Great for "guess-timating " future conditions. It does not require a battery, it does not require seven, it 's nice-enough looking to wear "casual dress " yet still look tough and fond. May learning curve as far as using AND SOME OF calibration BUT If you 've got it it ' s quite smart and simple enough.
I bought this as a gift for my husband. I love traveling and walking, especially in the mountains. It's perfect for him and he is very happy with all that 's characteristics.
1. They are great - even though they are quite thin in comparison with other models, Casio Pathfinder, they are really important. I 'm not a thin guy, but they are great on my wrist. R2. Tey are geeks - if you're a smart business person and think they dress not good for you as well as they are geeks. R3. Altimeter is not accurate (up to + - 80m) - and I hope you do not buy as meassuring scientific equipment, because they are relatively accurate and gives only approximate a real situation. It measures up relative to sea level based on temperature and barometric pressure, its approximity is very relative. Calibration doesn 't help too. Baro is better when that date. Compass image shows almost exact map, but if you use coordinates with R4 GEOGRAPHIC you must always reckon with geographyc between Delta and magnetic north / south pole. . The temperature is affected by body heat - I 'm mountain praticular tracker, so I bought this watch to wear on my jacket in this case temp. is allowed. How ever if you're Waring in close contact to your skin, you must remove it for 20-30 minutes to get an accurate reading. R Republic of Korea, with enough R questioning yet. Rlet 's show features of this watch are: r r1. Good combination of functionality and price - they are really cheap when compared to other Alti / Baro / Golden Compass Suunto watches like Swatch. Full range of readings and finctions time resolution is good for this price! Make sure you 'll receive everything in the same or lower quality in all wristwatches other day. R2. The settings are very simple - first few weeks, I made almost all the settings w / o reading the same manual. Unfourtunatly manual is not as clearly written. How about themself watches you can find logically implemented all the required options. R3. Baro allow you to log and graph weather forecast - Forecast is ofcourse your parents and you should be outside all the time if you want to catch trends. But it helps when picnicking or more rounds. R4. I love, I love how they look. R rmy recommendation, buy it! You wan 't regret!
If Protrek PRG 110 is available in your area, it is better off getting it than Paw 1300. The multi-band 5 Atomic timekeeping feature is not very useful in all it was necessary to put your watch near a window at night to get a clear signal to update. R rWith so many of us own the car GPS units, you can easily get updates by synchronizing your watch to the time there instead. GPS synchronized time also the land based on atomic time keeping facilities. R rBoth models otherwise identical features. The price difference is what you pay for the atomic time keeping feature. It may be worth the difference in price.
I am 99.9% satisfied w / my new watch. I only fault the alarm & hourly chime. They are about half as loud as a model ATC-1200 Casio watch I got in 2001. I never hear the alarms or chimes on the new watch but the old one comes thru loud & clear.
This watch has everything I need. I was looking for all the typical functions in most outdoor watches (temperature, altitude, barometric pressure, compass), but this watch adds atomic timekeeping and never-run-out of battery! My previous watch didn 't have this with all those sensors and the battery ran out in less than a year, after replacement the watch was no longer 100% sealed And once it got wet, i guess water got in and stopped working. That 's the main reason why the solar charge makes so much sense, the battery will last for many many years withouth the need to open the watch and risk damage. I 'm very happy with this watch and recommend it to all outdoor enthusiasts.
Update 11/14/09: I watch doesn 't preform the atomic clock anymore starting in November. R rdo and actually go hiking that much, no. If I, then I take the watch and its user guide book. I go back a cool looking G-Shock because it was huge. Watch is great diameter, but it looks fine, because the band don 't want to let out my G-Shock. It is also much lighter than most twinner and Pathfinders, because it is almost mad of plastic. The silver plastic is a little cheap, and I got some nicks in it, like, it is so lightweight steel. RFeatures found other talk I comment on. R r1. The barometer or thermometer is very accurate, but I had to calibrate it 8-10 degrees less. It is also more accurate if it is from your wrist for a period of time. R2. Altimeter was out at another time is to calibrate it. R3. The compass is dead. R4. Solar power is high, but I got it during spring. R5. Atomic time updates every night if you place it through the window and tilted up (not next to it). R rThis is one of the coolest watch myself in terms of features and continue to buy gold G Casio pathfinder Watch as Casual wear. I noticed it turns off at night and there is a clear when you open your wrist at night. It has all the features you'd like jogging, maybe not the bar 5min countdown. Also alarming, record time, stop watch is included as before. It feels like I am a child again with all the jogging Casio watches I owned during the year. Technical features too that you will not use much, but good. The wristbands are longer than most, but it is ok. This is the 1300 primary, there are other versions in different colors and wristbands available.
This second Casio Pathfinder Atomic Solar I bought. The first working beautifully, but it was too great for everyday wear. Great for biking in the Rockies or hiking. To wear other day, I wore a Casio G-Shock. What I wanted was a watch that day had all the characteristics of the Pathfinder, but it was huge. This watch is not small, but it works for everyday wear. What's not to like, perfect timing, never needs a battery, tons of features, looks good and is essentially bulletproof. Have had other brands of watches altimeter, they were huge and resource utilization killed the battery in a short space of time.
If the clock for 5 months, here 's what I rPros ago: everything he says! Slim design, lightweight, easy to read wide screen of a glance, the solar load is fine so far, I don 't really that much responsibility but the indicator is high. RTimer, timer and alarm for all working well, the digital compass is accurate atomic time keeping is really great. RCons: r rubber band sucks! R altimeter always-off, is not entirely accurate, tried to adjust several times after he gave up! I 'm not talking about moving to different places, can measure the altitude at home and at work, I get different reading ever. R-Barometer is a little off, but close enough. R-The backlight automatically turned on and kept accidentally consumes a large amount of battery power so I had to shut down. R-must always keep the user 's manual in hand, I see that each time you change the display settings, units of measurement ... etc.. R-I left the thermometer until the end because it 's the worst !!!!!! Rit read my body temperature or in their environment, to accurately measure the temperature must be taken when wrist and wait at least 30 MIN !!!!!!!! What 's the point of having a thermometer in my watch that I expect much, the answer is so slow, that I should pick up body heat, but I was hoping that works faster t' removes it. No matter where you are at home, at work or in your vehicle if you want to know the temperature at that time ... You Can 't So I think the thermometer is useless.
The Men 's see Pathfinder (# PAW1300-1V) for a month + /-The shipment was fast, the table was adequate and the clock was functional. See configuration directions easy to follow instructions providing the user with feedback as they often set the clock. R rthe Watch Band, is functional. The band 's material and the look and feel "cheap ". The material is rigid and remains so despite the clock was removed twice (minimum) per day. January 6 Today I noted the battery charge was reduced from high to medium for the first time since the purchase. R rCasio could improve the band 's material and appearance. I think the clock works as advertised. Check again in 90 days. [...]
... My old Suunto. I dig this watch. The only thing is that the burden of the solar has not seemed to last that long. Maybe a little premature for me to comment on this though. If I wear a short sleeve and over time, this may not be a problem and you 'd probably see 5 stars. But even if the crystal has a blank screen, put up lights for 2 seconds and voila, back in the biz. Also much cheaper than selling through this I see, for example, in the National Geographic catalog. And cheaper than the Suunto. I 'd get one if I were you :-)
The watch is thin compared to Casio G-Shock, I 've been using. The dial is easy to read, and the clock is synchronized every night without fail to the reference atomic clock in Colorado. I live in a California mountain town. I found the temperature reading to be 10 to 20 F too high if the clock on your wrist, but a precision of a few degrees if 's on my wrist for half an hour. The compass is right for my purposes. I found the screen barometric press a function of time to be an accurate prediction of the time. I like to see and use all the time, even for gala occasions.
I 've been wearing this for over a year, and ' s been really good. I 'm an "early adopter, ' and a watch collector and a professional evaluator, I watch maybe 20 very good, all purchases of discovery services (such as night lighting NOCTILUX) use no fashionista. I 'm not much outside, but light on the cell Casio is always fully powered by the sun through the windows of more artificial light. It ' s true that you need to keep the user 's manual handy because you won 't remember how to change the view of some exotic options, but this thing is Rolex, etc.. seem silly ' choices! A brilliant step forward in the long history of technology is brilliant watchmaking.
And to have this watch for about 5 months. I really like Casio wathces. All my Casio watches have been - since I was a boy of 12 years. RUnfortunately I am a little 'disappointed with this. The altimeter is absolutely unreliable. I'm on the floor 42, but they say I am - (minus!) 75 meters below sea level. Baro is so so. Compass - with a few degrees Margin - is working? Not for me. RI Mentionig are not even the body and cheap soft plastic guard. Every contact with a hard surface, is a scratch. RI would not recommend this product. RSadly, but true. Rthe choice is yours.
I've got a ton of Casio watches, including three alti-old barometer watches. When this series came out, I waited a while and then jumped on it. This has everything you could want. Well, it says everything should be, and very good. However, after about one year of use, I 'm running into a problem. I fly for a living, and this brought with me my watch. I usually go to Europe five times a week and I wore this watch, when I 'm watching a house in the U.S. is sitting near the window to fill out and receive the atomic clock. RWell, clock him to Europe, but in the back, usually dead on me. It goes from high to indicate the battery dead screen with blinking "C ", meaning it went into power saver mode trying to recharge. At this point lost all the information - time, date, altimeter settings etc ... The other day started flashing a "R " and frozen. Haven 't find that in the manual yet. But I 'm giving up on it. A watch no good if it can 't reliably indicate the time, and this one doesn ' t do that. RMY guess is that the rechargeable battery is dead. Hours are outside warranty now, so I 'm on my own with it. I found a place online that sell these rechargeable batteries, I guess I could give it a try. However, disappointing, you would think watching the sun will work far longer than ordinary batteries.
The Pros: This is a cool watch for yourself with all the features. R rCons: Watch is a little on the large size, but ok. This operation is rather complicated, but not bad if you are willing to read the manual. Expect to spend some time studying the instructions if you want to fully use the clock. R rThe only real negative is that in the winter, you have to stay at in the light. This means that pulled back his shirt so you can watch the take of light. The only way you know if the watch is charged is an indicator that said low, medium, or high. I 've put at around one year and is always on "high " settings.
This watch is perfect for the kind of geek like me. He went on vacation to Disney World in Florida right before Hurricane Gustav, so her watch. It was very fun to see the chart barometer and a front view of low pressure and then a step high and went out and played with the compass that was pretty accurate for non-professionals. This watch has it all - World Time, Countdown sand timer, stopwatch, compass, barometer and skin temperature, altimeter, night light, solar loading, auto adjust at 12 pm every night transmissions Radio Ft Collins, CO, even Orlando, but you need to leave by the window. That no perfect wrist due to the hinges at 12:00 and 6:00 that break and form fits the watch band around my wrist. Diameter clock face is a little big, but I like big watches, not too thick. This model is a great improvement on the massive, bulky Pathfinder PAG40 that myself, so probably 1 / 3 reduction in the volume of the watch box. Not too heavy on the wrist either. Not many types of memory negative nonsense digital screen above the line a little small for my forty-something eyes to read, but just at the limit, the alarm can be a bit stronger. Unlike other reviewers, I thought the band was good and right style and quality clock. No regrets for buying this show to see without being seen from Amazon. If and when it breaks, won 't hesitate to buy another. Kudos to Casio. Finally, the review of this watch on youtube.com which is real helpful for me.
